Diana Ross - Let's Go Up (Greatest Hits-Rca Years)
Comin' back on
Comin' back strong
Turnin' back on
Takin' the heat out in the street
Baby too long
Can you tell me how much fire
Will it take to get us higher
Hearin' the news, singin' the blues
You gotta choose
Stand up and fight, do it tonight
What can you lose
In a world of fading treasure
Love is the greatest pleasure
So let's go up, forget about down
'Cause in this town, it's gonna get rough
And what goes down, is up to us
So let's go up, baby let's go up
When it gets hot, like it or not
You want to run
Though it's so warm here in my arms
You won't get burned
In a world of fading treasures
The pleasure of your treasures
Can not be measured up
Ooh, I can't free a person from their charms
But I'll tell you this for sure
If nothing is ventured
Then nothing is gained, let's go
Diana Ross - Let's Go Up (04:04)
From her 1983 LP Ross.
This has always been one of my favorites of her solo albums, I agree with the person that stated if this had been promoted properly how well it would have charted, the vocals are magnificent, she was truly at the top of her game, major on point when she did these recordings for this LP!

@hnixonjr Let's Go Up was one of three favorites I enjoyed off the LP. The other three were Up Front and Love Will Make It Right, and Love or Loliness. Perhaps if she would have released one of those first ,before releasing Pieces of Ice which I also liked, it may have faired better in the States as well as in Europe. I don't think the R & B comm. approved of Pieces of Ice. However, this was still great work that the Music Industry missed out on. She even Co wrote Girls. Ross has true talent.

This song came out in 1983 from album called Ross. Oh yeah, what a great song. The Ross album Rocks. Upfront, Love or Loliness, Pieces of Ice, Love will Make it Right, were all nice beats. Those were dangerous and all had potential to be top ten hits if the album was promoted correctly, but it wasn't. That's my girl and she is still Boss.
